#17 Hohenzollern castle, Germany
They started the construction of the castle, located 50 kilometers from Stuttgart, in the 19th Century. It was almost completely destroyed in the 15th century, so it gained today’s form in the 19th Century. The fairy-tale palace was always owned by the Honenzollern family, many of them German, Prussian and even Romanian rulers.
