This stunning construction was officially made for hunting house only. The location of the castle was chosen by François King to be close to his lover, Claude Rohan, whose palace was next door. The huge castle has 440 rooms, 365 fireplaces and 84 stairs. This is the largest castle in the French Loire Valley.
