The route starts from a little town at the Mont Blanc, called Chamonix and gets us into the heart of the Alps, to the Swiss Zermattig. You can see the wildest walls, and the most challenging peaks. You can walk through all the places where alpinism faced its greatest struggles from the past up till now. Naturally you can do all that from a safe distance, on tourist paths or from safe glaciers walking from house to house on a well known, classic track. Through the whole 180 km long distance the path will be below 3000 meters, therefore there is no need for special equipment.
