The world’s 19th biggest state lies on the Central Asian Plateau on a 1,5 million km are. This huge country gives a home only to 2,9 million people, 40% of them lives in the city center, Ulan Bator. The geography of the country is various and beautiful. The biggest desert area of Asia, the Gobi desert lies on the southern part, while on the northern and western parts there are huge mountains. The climate is characterized by hard winters (-40 degrees) and hot summers (+30 degrees). Unbelievable but true, in Mongolia there are more horses living then people.
