North Korea has been hostile towards the international community but strangely friendly towards visitors, except to those from the US. The good news is that Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has taken some steps to introduce political reconciliation, but the bad news is that it’s unclear what they’ll be and when they’ll be applied. It’s best to visit the friendlier country just down south.
